4. The time sense in the future

As the forms of the future, there are "will", "be going to" and "be to", "be about to", the present progressive form, the present tense etc.

This section mainly explains "will" and "be going to" which are often used.

Now, in this text, "the future tense" or "the future form" is not said, because these are not admitted yet in English.

For example, "play" is the present tense, and when "ed" is added, "played" is the past tense. Although "will" is put, it is not said the future tense/form. Because it is the present tense grammatically. Moreover, it is the auxiliary verb, and "can" and "may" etc. are also have the future tendency. And it is colorlessness as the future, but "be going to" is also the same

In this text the future expression is said instead of the future tense/form.
See the following diagram which is about the future expression explained this chapter.

(1)

These can be classified into the two, the near future and the far future. The three are parallel to the near future and the one is parallel to the far future.
