 僕はシェリー
I was walking along the street where trees were planted every several meters.
As I was walking for a while, a brown apartment house came into sight.
The apartment house has three floors, built about 10 years ago.
This side of door on the first floor has a small entrance which opens and shuts automatically.
Going into it, I saw a man standing.
"Hi, Sherry. Where have you been?" the man said.
"Mew."
I have just walked around here.
―A cat mewed at the man. The cat is Sherry, of course he is the leading character of this story. Sherry is kept by the man whose name is Rickey.
Well, if we use the word "Sherry is kept", Sherry may be in a bad mood a little.
Because Sherry thinks he is equal to a human being.―

★ポイント１
Where have you been ?
「どこへ行っていたんだ？」
「いままでどこへ行っていましたか」のように、「いままでどこに？」という意味合いを含めて相手にたずねるときは、この「Where have you been ？」を使います。
これは「現在完了形」といわれている文です。
過去時制の「Where did you go ？」（どこへ行ったの）も、「どこへ行っていましたか」というようにたずねますが、「いままで」という意味では使えません。
外から帰ってきた相手や、どこか旅行先から帰ってきた相手にたいして「いままでどこに行っていたの？」とたずねるときには、「Where have you been ？」を使います。
Where have you been ?
（いままでどこに行っていたの）
I have been to Europe.
（ヨーロッパに行っていました）

また「bad」を「good」に変えると「機嫌が良い」という意味にもなります。

何階かをあらわすには the first floor（１階）、the second floor（２階）といいます。
ただし、アメリカではこのようにいいますが、イギリスでは１階を the ground floor といいます。
そして２階を the first floor といいます。
